Inbound Logistics Demo

Aljex Software can provide an Inbound Logistics Solution for You and Your Customer. To learn more about the Software you can attend our LIVE Demo on Friday, January 29th at 10am est. Please email sales@aljex.com to reserve your space.

Read below for an overview of functions:

Vendor Functions
When a vendor is ready to schedule a delivery, they start the process by entering the PO# or SKU#. Create a pickup request ready to be approved. This area eliminates the need for a routing guide.

Shipments in transit, or scheduled shipments can be viewed, modified, or removed from the inbound system by the vendor.Vendors can also check shipment statuses and print bills of lading.

Portal for a vendor to view all of their shipments. They can select by date range, reference #, pickup or delivery location and more. View delivery information, driver check calls and current shipment location. Also view scanned delivery receipts and shipment invoices.

Internal Functions
This is a portal to view and control all shipments in the supply chain. View shipments that are scheduled, in transit, or recently delivered. This is one dashboard to control all shipments from all vendors. Set delivery appointments, change shipping quantities, change destination, and even select which dropped trailer to load. Approved pickups will be sent automatically via EDI to your 3rd party logistics provider.

This area gives a manufacturer or retailer the ability to view consolidated reports of shipments in the supply chain. Since all inbound shipments are in one system, this is "future inventory". View in-transit inventory on screen or via Excel spreadsheet.

Non-Map Features

We have added a red highlight in the Pro # box for new shipments. The highlighted Pro # will be there for 30 minutes to show the users its a new shipment.

WOW! Check out the new Non-Map View!

The next time a tin user logs in they will find a new button on the upper
right of their map page that is labeled "Non-Map" which will invoke the new
page.

In place of the normal tin buttons, the new page has a menu at the top of
the page. All items have sub-items (except Available Trucks) which will
drop-down when you hover over them with the mouse.
To return to the normal tin map page take the choice "Map View" under the
"View/Refresh" menu item. Thus the user is free to switch between views at
will.
All of the menu items are working except Radius Search, Accounting and
QuickBooks.

Once you switch to the non-map view all the programs will work exactly as
before EXCEPT that they should all return to the non-map page when you press
any "Back To Map" button.
If you switch to the Map View then all pages should return to the map page
as the default.

The checkboxes and radio buttons are now on the left side instead of on the
bottom. This allows the detail page of loads to become as large as
required.

NOTE: If you use Internet Explorer the menus at the top and the buttons on
the left will scroll off the page as you move the detail lines BUT if you
use Firefox, Chrome or Opera browsers then it will work properly and the
heading and left sidebar will remain fixed as you scroll the detail list.
IE bug! I recommend either Firefox, Chrome or Opera browsers.

When the mouse is in the detail line area different things happen depending
on where the cursor is.

When you hover over the TEXT in a field:
In the Pro column then a popup message will show the weight, pieces and
description of the load.
The Pickup At column will show the pickup company's name and phone#.
The Deliver To column will show the consignee's name and phone#.
The Customer column will show the company's phone#.
The Carrier column will show the carrier phone# and driver cell phone#.
(fields with these extra messages turn yellow when you are in them,
indicating that clicking on them will NOT take you that pro's menu. See
next section)

When you click on the TEXT in a column:
In the Status, Pro, Date, PS, Pays, Dispatchers and Sales Rep fields clicking
will take you to that pro's menus page.
In the Pickup At, Deliver To and Customer columns clicking will take you to
that company's customer file record for viewing or updating.
In the Carrier column clicking will take you to view/update that carrier's
record.
The Dispatchers column shows the Assigned / Actual dispatchers.

As before - all the columns are sortable - ascending first then descending.

Clicking on a truck in the Available Trucks section will now take you to
that truck's record.
If there is an email address associated with a truck then it will appear as
a link that you can click to send an email.
